汉考克 holds his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Maryland School of Law.
杰伊·汉考克 is a Shareholder and Practice Leader of LBMC’s state and local tax practice.
汉考克 has significant experience assisting taxpayers with all varieties of state and local tax issues, including multi-state tax minimization studies and reorganization strategies for public and private companies; analysis of state tax ramifications stemming from mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; identification of state tax credits and securing negotiated incentives; and management and resolution of state audits, appeals and ruling requests.
汉考克 previously served as the Executive Director of EY’s 纳什维尔-based Tennessee indirect tax practice. He has nearly 25 years of Tennessee state and local tax experience, the last 21 of which have been with national accounting firms in a tax consulting role.
Prior to entering public accounting, 汉考克 served as an Assistant Attorney General in the 税 Division of the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office, where he represented the Department of Revenue in state tax litigation and authored opinions on various state and local tax issues.
